متن کاملMedication errors: do they occur in isolation?
To cite: Franklin BD. BMJ Qual Saf Published Online First: [please include Day Month Year] doi:10.1136/ bmjqs-2014-002924 Medication error research typically focuses on just one stage of the medication use process: prescribing, transcribing, dispensing, administration or monitoring. متن کاملEffects of Mathematical Word Problem–Solving Instruction on Middle School Students with Learning Problems
Mathematics is integral to all areas of daily life; it affects successful functioning on the job, in school, at home, and in the community. The importance of mathematics literacy and problem solving is emphasized in the Goals 2000: Educate America Act of 1994 and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics’ Principles and Standards for School Mathematics (NCTM, 2000; Goldman, Hasselbring, & the...
متن کاملEnhancing Mathematical Problem Solving for Students with Disabilities
Approximately 5% of the school-age population experiences mathematics disability (Badian, 1983; Gross-Tsur, Manor, & Shalev, 1996; Kosc, 1974). Despite its prevalence, math disability has been the focus of less systematic study than has reading disability (cf. Rasanen & Ahonen, 1995). This relative neglect is unfortunate, because mathematics skill is important for school success and accounts fo...
